Check out these cool photography images:
When I first walked into a skyscraper — the Empire State Building, not so long ago, I was overwhelmed. And the skyscrapers got into my list of places to visit – I would then visit the World Trade Center 1 and 2 after that. A few years later, I would find myself riding the high speed elevators of Kuala Lumpur’s Petronas twin towers — that was a bit not satisfying since at Petronas, you’re only allowed up to the bridge. After that I found myself in Taipei 101, which has recently been eclipsed in height by a building in Dubai. Then visited the Sears Tower — which I believed is taller than Petronas and Taipei 101, its just that the antenna was not counted a part of its height on some rules. What I observed in those buildings, they have nice modern and contemporary architecture, convenience, comfort and technology.
This building is around 55 meters tall. Built in the middle ages. It has been here for around 900 years. Nine-hundred. Will our modern buildings last that long?
Now I feel like including Egypt in my list. Maybe someday.
